![]() ![]() In 1996 Luscious Jackson released the album “Fever In Fever Out”, which really helped escalate the band into the attention of the mainstream. The album they released was called “Klassics With A “K” and it featured musicians such as Josephine Wiggs from The Breeders and Dean & Gene from Ween. On the band’s 1995 tour Cunniff and Trimble experimented with recording low key, acoustic songs that they released under the name Kostars. The album also featured the hit songs “Citysong”, “Deep Shag”, and “Here”, which all had music videos featured on MTV. The album showcased the band’s distinctive blend of rock and hip-hop. In 1994 the band released their first full length album “Natural Ingredients”. The singles from the EP included “Let Yourself Get Down” and “Daughters Of The Kaos”. In 1992 the band released their debut EP “In Search of Manny”, which consisted of songs from their demo as well as new material. After Luscious Jackson had recorded a demo the Beastie Boys asked the band to be the first artist to be signed to their label Grand Royal. The band’s first performance was an opening act for Beastie Boys and Cypress Hill. ![]() Later they recruited Vivian Trimble on keyboards and Kate Schellenbach on the drums, who previously was performing with the Beastie Boys. Jill Cunniff and Gabby Glaser were the primary members that formed the band and were the main songwriters for the band. ![]()
